- Clover is looking for an Risk Manager to join the Risk department. The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of the enterprise risk management framework. This position is based at Clover Head Office in Roodepoort.

Duties and Responsibilities
Implement Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
- Facilitate strategic and operational risk management process
- Update risk registers in the risk management system
- Conduct quarterly risk management sessions
- Compile quarterly risk reports
- Update ERM, risk appetite and delegation of authority for all assigned group entities annually
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of Risk Management and IT sections of the Governance Report
- Update incident reports
Monitor internal financial controls (King III)
- Ensure Clover’s database of internal financial controls are maintained and reported
- Perform process walkthroughs on all key business areas
- Engage with external auditors on process and results of internal financial controls
Manage policies and procedures
- Set-up and maintain policy and procedure database with IT
- Develop governance and ethic related policies for the Group
- Review and coordinate policies and procedures updates with business
- Set-up self assessments controls
Assist with Social and Ethics Committee (SEC) Workplan
- Ensure completeness of risk registers with regard to Regulation 43 and 6 Capital Report
- Compile SEC report on material risks & emerging risks and incidents
- Conduct annual ethics awareness campaigns
- Conduct annual conflict of interest declarations
- Coordinate SEDEX audits
- Maintain stakeholder risk register
- Compile annual donations and sponsorship report
Assist with internal audit process
- Maintain relationship with Clover’s appointed internal auditors
- Track external and internal audit findings as well as third party assurance providers recommendations
- Assist with compilation of combined assurance plan
- Ensure that a three year rolling plan is in place to cover material financial risks
- Set-up Clover internal audit data analytics
Oversee insurance portfolio
- Ensure the Group has comprehensive insurance cover in place for all insurable risks
- Maintain risk registers on insurable/uninsurable risks
- Prepare budget for insurance
- Oversee all insurance claims payable, ensuring that monthly provision is raised correctly
- Review outstanding Compensation for Occupational Injuries & Diseases (COID) claims, implement policy to ensure employees take final doctor visit enabling Clover to claim
- Report fraud and theft incidents above R50 000 and ensure investigations are performed to back up insurance claims
