Requirements

  • Degree
  • 3 – 5 yrs experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Business English: Fluent
  • Computer literacy (Intermediate)
  • Code 08 Driver’s license
  • Travel off-site/ overnight stay
  • Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the quality system in Production

  • Evaluate, maintain and update the quality and food safety management system according to FSSC 22000 and other requirements
  • Monitor, evaluate and implement manufacturing systems and procedures to ensure that quality and food safety standards are consistently met
  • Ensure that procedures are followed correctly regarding change control at Production level
  • Ensure validation studies for equipment, block flow diagram and process are completed and available
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of cleaning and dis-infection systems in the plant.
  • Identify qualityand food safety issues and help/support with specialist knowledge to solve the issues
  • Conduct and verify that food safety and quality related training is done and encourage a proper food safety culture

Oversee that the quality and food safety requirements are met

  • Coordinate and provide support to Production regarding trials, new processes and changes
  • Ensure effective communication (written, verbal) with all levels on processes, products and changes that will influence quality/food safety
  • Liaise with Production regarding investigation of complaints
  • Assist with product recalls and withdrawals when requested
  • Ensure all updated specifications from PT&T are issued and implemented per branch through the abovementioned system
  • Investigate and assist Production when product, packaging & raw material does not comply to specifications (concessions)
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to ensure continual improvement and cost savings to operating procedures

Investigate complaints, incidents and corrective actions regarding quality and food safety

  • Conduct, report and record investigations related to quality deviations and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure effective corrective and preventative actions with Production teams

Assist with Quality and Food safety Audits

  • Ensure that the facility is aware and available for all related audits
  • Validate that the relevant documentations are in place for the audit
  • Ensure that the corrective actions of previous findings are addressed
  • Ensure that proactive steps are taken to minimise risks, findings, etc.
  • Conduct and participate in regular audits to ensure that requirements are met

General
