Objectives of Role

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible to perform the following for the group:

  • Assist with the statutory audit by preparing the related Group financial statements, consolidation and liaising with the external audit team
  • Analysing current and past financial data and performance
  • Reviewing current financial performance and identifying trends
  • Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports
  • Consulting with various stakeholders to support the development of long-term plans, budgets and reporting frameworks
  • Suggesting interventions and improvements based on the above information
  • Developing and maintaining financial models and providing financial forecasts
  • Support the development of initiatives and policies that may improve financial effectiveness
  • Lead and support Group projects
  • Provide financial review due diligence in support of grant making and other ad hoc decisions.

Outcomes

  • Timely and relevant financial and management reporting to aid effective decision making.
  • Efficient and effective use of resources to support sustainability of the entities.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) Preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • Strong data gathering skills and other data query/data management/ visualisation tools is beneficial
