Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is one of nine Metropolitan (or Category A) municipalities in South Africa. It is located on the shores of Algoa Bay in the Eastern Cape province, and comprises the city of Port Elizabeth, the nearby towns of Uitenhage and Despatch, and the surrounding rural area.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 5;
- Must be able to read and write;
- 1 year experience working as a General Assistant in the Electrical field; Must be physically fit;
- Required to work in all weather conditions; and Must be prepared to enter confined spaces.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:
- Excavations of trenches and pole holes; Must be prepared to work on heights;
- Clean work place and sites after every job completed; Support Electricians in all types of work;
- Bush clearing and cleaning of substations and transformer enclosures.
