Minimum Requirements:
- Electrician Trade Qualification.
- Proven experience in electrical installations, especially single-phase systems.
- Solid understanding of inverters, battery storage, and backup power systems.
- Ability to calculate voltage drops and determine correct cable sizing.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Medically fit for physical site work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Single-Phase Wireman License.
- Experience working on multiple sites and independently managing daily schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain single-phase electrical systems and back-up power units.
- Set up and configure inverters, battery systems, and solar components.
- Calculate load, inverter size, battery and solar capacity requirements.
- Determine and install correct cabling based on voltage drop calculations.
- Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot faults.
- Ensure compliance with SANS electrical standards and site safety protocols.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to meet delivery and quality expectations.
