Although the name change from Parmalat SA only came into effect on 1 February 2020, the company under its previous name had been part of the Lactalis Group since 2011. Job Description
- Join Lactalis at our site in Cape Town DC and take on the challenge of a Driver Assistant.
- Successful candidates must have Grade 10 or equivalent.

Required Skills
- Grade 10 or Equivalent.
- At least one year’s experience as truck or van assistant.
- Must be able to read & write.
- Able to work in the cold room environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime if required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Punctuality and attendance reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in checking the stock,
- Load the truck with stock, pull out orders as per the invoices for stores.
- Ensure that the correct quantities are given to the stores at the delivery point.
- Check returns against goods returns, guide the driver at the rear of the truck whilst he reverses the truck.
- Ensure that the truck is kept clean & tidy after the route is completed.
- Ensure compliance to health and safety standards
