Thabazimbi Municipality is a local municipality within the Waterberg District Municipality, in the Limpopo province of South Africa. The seat is Thabazimbi. Thabazimbi is a Sotho–Nguni name meaning "iron ore mountain." The early Bantu communities worked on this mountain to mine iron.
BASIC SALARY: Post Level 7 (R279 467,52) per annum. Additional benefits attached to the position are as follows: ((i) Medical aid cover is subsidized by 60% of the total contribution for family members; (ii) Pension fund contribution by Municipality is 18% of basic salary; (iii) Housing subsidy is available on repayment of a bond provided that the house is registered in the name of the employee.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 11 or N3 Certificate or equivalent. Trade Test Certificate in Boilermaking. Valid Driver’s License.
- EXPERIENCE: 2 years minimum relevant working experience.
- KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: proper maintenance, repairs and installation of all types of pipes, and valves on Municipal buildings perform routine welding, cutting and fitting operations.
- Respond to reported faults to reduce outage times. Investigate and resolve repeat problems on the water and sanitation network.
- Record work completed in accordance with job cards. Respond to daily requests for maintenance.
- Supervise subordinates and ensure that they operate in accordance with health and safety standards.
