EThekwini Municipality is a Metropolitan Municipality found in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. Home to the world-famous city of Durban. EThekwini is the largest City in the province and the third largest city in the country. It is a sophisticated cosmopolitan city of over 3 468 088 people. It is known as the home of Africa's best-managed, busiest port and is also a major centre of tourism because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Advise, guide and provide input on production and implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan.
- Collection of Information regarding development issues.
- Provide administrative and liaison function.
- Interacts and represents the Municipality on aspects related to Education, Training and Development.
- Execute the Skills Audit by evaluating the Municipality’s level of skills.
- Execute and manage Learning and Development processes based on needs analysis objectives in accordance with the provisions of the Skills Development Act and the Municipality’s IDP.
- Co-ordinate activities associated with interns, work integrated learning.
Essential Requirements
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resources Development or Management or Public Management or Public Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification.
- Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) certificate.
- Valid motor vehicle driving license
- 3 years relevant experience
- Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements
- Degree (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources Development or Management or Public Management or Public Administration or any other related and equivalent qualification.
- Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) certificate.
- 4 Years relevant experience.
