Job Advert Summary
- An opportunity has arisen for a Semi-Skilled Spraypainter who prepares surfaces by sanding/cleaning and applies undercoats/final coats with a brush and/or roller.
- Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of buildings and other structures.
- Selects premixed paints or mixes required portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colours.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/ NQ4 Level 4/ Higher Certificate / NQF level 5
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as Semi-Skilled Spraypainter working with vehicles
- Adhere to safe working procedures
- Colour matching skills
- Able to operate spraypainting equipment
- Able to apply paint evenly
- Ability to work under pressure
Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare jobs
- Spray painting trailers and trucks
- Use of paint systems
- Lifting and turning of jobs
- General housekeeping
- General assistance
- Repair minor accident damage to OM spec
- Ensure all spraypainting equipment is cleaned after use
- Carry out repairs to tautliner trailer curtains and roofs
- Operating of electrical tool and equipment
- Minor mechanical repairs
