ASTRAL FOODS is the largest integrated poultry producer in Southern Africa and was established and listed on the JSE in April 2001. Key activities comprise animal feed manufacturing, broiler genetics, production and sale of day-old chicks and hatching eggs, breeder and broiler production, abattoir and further processing operations and sales and distribution of key poultry brands.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for: 

  • Receive proof of delivery documents for all National Chicks stock & non-stock items.
  • Match PODs to invoices and check quantities and prices agree to order.
  • Receipt on SYSPRO ERP system.
  • Attach all relevant paperwork and forward to creditor department once processed.
  • Follow up on all outstanding delivery documentation.
  • Ensure stock and non-stock items are receipted timeously on a daily basis.
  • Follow up and reconcile POD paperwork received from Gauteng.
  • 20 Keys program

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 2-3 years working experience
  • Working experience within procurement would be an advantage
  • Syspro ERP systems experience will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2-3 years MS Office experience; MS Outlook and MS Excel
  • Own transport would be necessary
  • Able to work weekends, public holidays and out of usual working hours as and when required
