Job Description:

  • Actively participating in the Asset tactics process.
  • Apply change management as per agreed and documented requirements.
  • CMMS – Set up selective (as per tactics) End-of Life Replacement Schedules and monitor the ‘Remaining Life Status.
  • CMMS – Optimize and improve maintenance mix.
  • Create and change Functional location, Equipment and Maintenance Plan.
  • Adherence to Systems & Procedures.
  • Review the Work Order Task Status Report daily: To assist in prioritizing the planning work/ To track upcoming work.
  • Plan approved work orders (within area of responsibility) for resource provisioning and execution prior to the Required Date.
  • Encourage contribution of planning details from those expected to do the work.
  • Incorporate workforce contributions into planning packages.
  • Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of work orders for completion by their Required Date.
  • Plan work to minimize the demand for resources without exceeding the Required Date for work completion.
  • Develop and use standard jobs to improve the efficiency of the planning process.
  • Exhibit effective leadership skills and behaviours.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
  • Qualified trade-tested artisan (Electrician / Fitter / Boilermaker).
  • Post matric engineering qualification diploma or similar.
  • Code 10 Drivers license (for standby duties).
  • Proficient with general computer programs and planned Maintenance software packages (i.e. SAP (PM) Planned Maintenance packages).

Specific Knowledge requirements:

  • Experience in Engineering, Mining/Process/Manufacturing and/or similar Industry.
  • Experience in Planned Maintenance systems will be necessary for the role.
  • Experience in an artisan trade or as a maintenance planner.
  • Computer literate in full MS office, and planned maintenance system (SAP PM).
  • In depth knowledge of discipline specific work to be planned.
  • Basic artisan training module, • Work Knowledge of client disciplines – Metallurgy, Chemistry, Engineering.
  • Operating Model Work Management practices (would be an advantage).
  • Asset Strategy and Reliability framework.
